Curt was born and raised in southern Idaho. He left when he was 17 to join the United States Navy where he spent 6 years active duty as a Submarine Sonar Technician. He returned to the Northwest spending 3 years in Seattle and 16 years in Portland, Or. During that time, he had a variety of work experiences including bartender, restaurant manager, corrections officer, forensics lab tech, and catering and bar services management.
He returned to Idaho in 2005 where he began working for Simplot at a major potato manufacturing plant, first as an operator, production lead, packaging supervisor, and then transferring to their West Memphis, AR plant to develop a Safety and Training Specialist position. He was offered a production manager opportunity at M. Palazola Produce in 2016 and eagerly accepted.
He now serves as the Director of Operations and brings a wealth of production and management knowledge to his position and certifications that include STS, PCQI, OSHA, HACCP, Six Sigma Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt. Curt loves the family atmosphere at M. Palazola Produce, it’s passion for customers and the industry, and the prospects for future evolution of the company.
